C.Glass Dance Co. Presents:
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."
Isaiah 43:2
This performance explores the tides of sadness, grief, and the struggle with the heaviness that comes along with this life. We are all connected through this invisble strand of trials, hardships, and emotions and one could describe it as drowning under the weight of the world.
Although, by surrounding yourself with light and love you can therefore overcome the waters. Through these trials and pushing through them, there is a feeling of hope and strength. Drown yourself in the love of Jesus, and the waters of the world will not overcome you.

Meet The Ciara Glass
EVERYWHERE SHE GOES, DANCE IS HER DRIVING FORCE.
Ciara Glass has been in the industry since the age of 12. In high school Ciara was hired as an apprentice for two dance companies. Her first company experience was with the modern dance troupe, Black Rock Dance Company and was also hired into the ballet company, Sierra Nevada Ballet. During that time Ciara competed regionally and nationally in many classical and contemporary competitions across the West Coast and received national recognition, awards and invitations to join professional dance groups. Ciara has continued her dance studies in world renowned studios including; Peridance, Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, The Ailey Studios, Alonzo King Lines Ballet, ODC Dance Commons, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Lou Conte Dance Studio & Millennium Dance Complex. She has performed, choreographed and taught dance all over the country; in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Reno, and San Jose. Ciara’s core belief is that every person can benefit from dance and each should have their own unique journey within the art form. Since founding the studio and C.Glass Dance Co. her main goals have been to inspire the younger generation of dancers to work hard and reach for their dreams. Ciara firmly believes that every human on this earth can gain confidence and grow physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually through the amazing art of dance.
Rachel Gischia | Solo Choreographer
My pieces, Repeat Until Death, explores the depths of how struggles in life can overcome your very being. Whether it be depression, love, anxiety or addiction—one can become consumed in endless battle, to the point where they feel like they can’t breathe anymore. This raw depiction of life is reality for most of us at one point or another. Let this piece ground you in that reality. Know and remember what it feels like to be on that edge. Maybe in time, you’ll be ready to choose to take a breath, instead of drown.
Valeriia Bevzenko-Green | Choreographer
My co-choreography piece, "Big God," incorporates pieces of fabric which represent pieces and parts of oneself, which represent an integral part of the personality. Something that is constant or inherent. Each of us is trying to change something in ourselves for improvement but people often forget that changing themselves is quite difficult and when on the verge of change they become disappointed and stop moving in the right direction. The direction they need to go. Only you can see this limit and move beyond it. Don't get lost in this struggle. Self development and discipline is the key to achieving self improvement.
Alison Rice | Choreographer
I choreographed firelight with musicality being my main focus. I love to create movement that is unique and I always try to do a move that no one has seen before. I originally choreographed this as a solo, but turned it into a group number for this show, which added a lot more simplicity to the movements.
